Cocoon Marketing Campaign

Three collateral pieces for a home renovation company to advertise a fall sale that will convert potential customers into leads. I chose to create this project for my portfolio as it allowed me the opportunity to demonstrate my skills in web and digital ad design for an established brand. This brand also aligns with personal interests of mine, so I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to design collateral for the target audience leaving my personal interests behind.

Background

Cocoon is a home renovation company seeking to expand its reach. They specialize in modern, comfortable living spaces and offer comprehensive services.

Target Audience

The company's target audience is homeowners aged 35-65 looking to renovate their homes.

Problem

Cocoon aims to increase brand awareness and attract new clients through a targeted advertising campaign of 3 pieces.

Starting the Design Process

My approach for the project was to utilize the current brand colors and geometric typography to reinforce the brand identity while combining them with outstanding visual imagery and elements to draw customers in.

The three media pieces I decided to create include a postcard to direct to specific communities, an Instagram ad to showcase the company's best renovations, and a landing page to convert visitors into leads. I began with creating sketches for these ideas.

Challanges & Rough Comps

A challenge that came up was maintaining the brand identity without an established style guide. The font selections, brand colors, and imagery guidelines were not included or available for designing the collateral.

To maintain brand consistency, I completed research on the company’s recent media in addition to utilizing Adobe Fonts to locate fonts that match or closely resemble recent media. Then I brought the sketches to life through rough comps.

Completed Project

The finished collateral addresses the problem by reinforcing the brand identity through each piece and attracting additional customers through carefully curated sale advertisements. The advertisement campaign assists Cocoon in converting potential customers and website visitors into tangible leads. The images are cohesive, the design elements are consistent across all collateral, and all collateral reinforces the brand identity as a whole.
